Its only cause OFAH has been repeated soo many god damn times that people cant forget it. Black Adder shoulda won for sure, bah. BA was always on beeb 2 and OFAH was on 1 - that's why; more coverage.

It's simply down to the fact that the humour in Only Fools And Horses is a lot more straightforward and well... funny. Sure Blackadder is funny, but it's not really the same sort of mass appeal humour. Somehow I can't remember Blackadder ever being a rating's winner. It was always a cult thing so I don't really know why you're complaining. It's like whining about the Lord Of The Rings winning the nations favourite book award, when you think that it ought to be Money by Martin Amis instead. It's a vote for christsakes. Anyone else notice the dominance of BBC shows? I get the odd feeling the show was rigged Still Blackadder was by far the superior show.
personally I think only fools and horses is the best, and the reason its always on TV, is because its the best, so they know people are going to watch it, and they obviously do watch it, otherwise it wouldnt be on so much!!!! Dont take this the wrong way, i love blackadder to, and Fawlty Towers (good but when there was only sommat like 13 ever made not exactly a winner). So i think there descision was the right one!! As only fools and horses can appeal to anyone of all ages, whereas blackadders a bit more on off and not everyone loves it - M@
I think that's cause there are hardly any hugely popular sitcoms made by anyone else really. Apart from like Father Ted... Which shoulda made the Top 10 instead of crud like Vicar of Dibley. Wtf?
