I actual prefer the thud thud of a large v8 rather than a high rpm v8. Higher rpm engines sound diferent.

I like both as much as each other. The v8 grunt/rumble is just as cool/grin inducing/satisfying as the F1 like v8 noise... or the v10 in the porsche carrera GT (which is totally :jawdrop: )

that first car was amazing. its just a shame you'd get 5 yards down the street and have to put another £100 of fuel in it over here in the uk

That hotrod wasn't street legal, he would have been fined several hundred if he had been caught. That said I thought it sounded real good. side exaust headers with an advanced cam and six pack carbs. did anyone see a blower?

Actual, at least in NY, the car might be street legal. The only reason i see it would be illegal is because its so loud. Cars over 25 yrs old do not require exhaust systems because they do not need to be inspected for emissions. But if a cop did get him it would be on a loud muffler because the car is to loud.

That depends on where you live. Here in Montana there is no limit as to how loud your vehicle can be. I know a guy that has a 1970's ford with a stroker motor in it and he has like 5 inch piping from the headers back and he drives it every day. Cops will sometimes be retarded and pull him over, but most will just pull up alongside and ask him to rev it some more. :D

My 76 Jeep Cherokee just has a 360 in it, but is straight piped, sure its loud and people stare at me sometimes, close their windows when i pull up next to them and whatnot, but haven't ever gotten hassled about it... I will be putting a muffler on next week though.....just to be nice :p
