Look what just dropped into my hands.. I wouldn't mind so much if theyd had actually sent me a bill or two between my last one and this. Mmm.. expensivey.
Geez man, you must have a lot of Gas! J/K Can you spread the payment any way? That is one hell of alot for a lump sum payment!
ouch, ok heres what you do, you claim that ermm you were outta the country and ermm someone broke into your house and its amazing it didn't blow up cause for 3 weeks they left the hob on
good god man, you must leave every gas device in your house switched on full i would get on the phone & complains aying you never recieved any aditional bills to give you any chance of paying
1.Jebus Christ O'Malley. Do you invite mates round to get high off the gas pipes? 2.If you've not received any bills then there's probably a good chance it's estimated? In which case, also probably wrong. Get your meter read. And then sue em for giving you such a shock. emotional distress, gets em every time.
lol. probably work in the US, I doubt it in the UK.. EDIT: read the first paragraph, they just might not have recieved your last payment
Well, we don't use a excessive amount of gas.. I think the big problem is that we just haven't been billed and because I'm just a jetsetting international superstar, I don't have time to check to see if someone is supposed to be asking me for money. The real issue is why did they leave it so long before sending me a red one!! On the phone tomorrow morning, 8am. I'll give that poor sod at the company 'who's just got in after a night on the town and has sat down for a quiet day' a piece of my mind.
eeek, suppose there are some advantages to direct debit! pity you don't really have any way of proving you didn't get the previous ones, else they might have to be nicer.
Well, the saga is over. . 10% off the bill and £55 a month 'payment plan'.. great. Still, at least it's been sorted. *sigh*
Make sure that you're paying the right bill! My friend moved into his new house, and payed the bill as normal. 6 months down the line BG tell him he hasn't paid and gets a red bill. He complains of course, and a long ping pong session of "I've paid, here the proof" and "Oh no you haven't cough up" ensues. The long and short of it was that when he moved in, the gas board took the wrong meter number, and it transpired that he was paying his nextdoor neighbours bill! He got it sorted in the end, as they proved with the bank records that they had been payin a bill. Just not his bill.
It's a longer story than that, but we've got the right meter. They've been sending the bills to the wrong address.. their problem is that it took them this long to do anything about it, my problem is that (at the end of the day) I've still used that much gas in the time it's been since my last bill.
