on thursday a friend got a cheap android based netbook , tiny littel thing (8" screen i think) but for basically facebook in bed. now , heres the problem - it wont let her download from the app market - it sasy `no compatable phone`. so she cant download flash and thus cant use facebook (for what is wanted) help? tried my gmail account and it says the same thing ; google support is useless , tried the options i can find on the internet and i`ve allready done a full reset. any idea`s? apparantly it could take windows ce 6.0 - how `bad` is it?
Oh no... Actual help: can you just download the facebook app online then transfer it over. I think you can do this with android (someone correct me if I'm wrong)
What version of Android is it running? 2.1 onwards support Flash, and many apps are 2.2 or later. If it's only 1.6 or something, you'll run into many issues with current apps. As for downloading via Android Market using a PC and then transferring, this doesn't work, as the gmail account the device is registered to checks whether the device is compatible before it lets you download.
Just because it's Android 2.2 doesn't mean it'll support Flash. CPU must be at least 800MHz and ARM11. You could always download the .apk for the Facebook app and install it straight on. Apps don't have to come from the Android Market - just enable "Unknown Sources" under Development Settings and you can install apps straight off the SD card. Hope this helps.
