Weird one this... All was OK until yesterday, however my PC will not boot when my Nexus 7 is connected. Instead the PC fires up with the HDD led permanently lit, and emits a very quiet "clicking" noise from the rear of the motherboard. Disconnecting the Nexus allows the PC to boot without issue. The PC did download and install a fairly large chunk of Windows updates recently, and that's the only change since all was working fine. Any thoughts or suggestions? I'm worried about reconnecting the Nexus now in case it fritzes something... Many thanks. Cleggy.
I had a USB device that would stop my PC booting. I really can't remember what it was now though ! It's a very odd one that's for sure.
Thanks folks, I'll check this out though I'm almost certain that I've disabled everything aside from the SSD under boot options...
I have this with an external hard drive. Went into the bios for the boot setup and it was correct. Weird things do happen with software though, I remember when having itunes on my system the game which is a pain in my butt the most of times will not start unless I disable itunes. Hence I only use media monkey gold
Yup, no changes in the BIOS, i.e. no reference to USB. The only changes have been the Windows update. And my wife using my PC while I was away a few days...
This. My lady has never used my PC and it has always been fine. Lol. Yeah I've never had this happen other than when I have messed up the boot priority.
