Do they even sell Anno 2070 on disk? I couldn't find it anywhere I looked. Was debating if I should get it through steam or disk (I generally prefer disk) but since I can't find it steam was about to win.
I love how this became such an issue as to be added to thier "bugs to fix" list Think my average map play time about 50 hours.
I have it yes, but haven't had time to have a good play yet. Initially I am a little confused as I can't really tell how it affects things. I am assuming that if you play a continuous game, the resources and factions in the DLC will become available to use. Initially I had assumed that there would be a new campaign (just my assumption given it's price) but it doesn't seem so unless I have missed something!
Actually you did miss something In the mission selection area, there is a new button labeled " Miracle in danger", There are also new single missions available to play. Basically you will see a symbol in the top, right hand corner of the mission cards that indicates that it is part of the expansion. As a side note to be aware of: The expansion items are not available in the old single missions. This is also the case with the current World Event. This makes me believe that new world event are yet to released.
aw man I am loving this expansion, so much endgame its glorious. - the new tech level "Genius" is a joy to work with, lots of new production chains to play with and some serious money to be made doing it. - the geo thermal power is nice, never thought I'd see something come along and slap the **** out of a Hydro dam. - Lots of new items to buy and use and some of them seriously costly, highest I've seen so far is 2750 licences and they're all useful, the fact you can now plug 6 items into an island instead of 3 makes it more interesting when it comes to production islands. - the power transfer system is very cool, a little fiddly to get your head around at first but very useful when you do. - the academy has been restructured to make more sense as well as making certain items of research easier to find. - the tech monument is the hardest monument ive seen in an Anno game yet, before you can even lay the groundwork you need 1250 Tech Geniuses, but you cant get that until you tackle Anno's hardest and longest Production chain for which you need 1200 Eco Execs & 1200 Tycoon Execs before you can even start it. sleep is stopping me from carrying on but for now, pics.
Is there actually any benefit in Anno to build like you have? With lots of trees about etc. And I'm really tempted to pick this up...
Not what I asked, that's not an actual benefit That's what I thought though. Was hoping it was going to add something like in Pharaoh where you had to make the area look nice for the higher level people to move in etc, add another challenge. Since I think that's the worst thing about Anno 2070, getting to the top tier of both of the main populations isn't THAT hard. This expansion should help solving that problem by the looks of it though
Good lord that tech monument will take a while to even get started. 1200 tech and 1200 ecos THEN 1250 genuises. ok large islands, abundant resources, medium diff. Lets have a crack at this thing. I see many trade ships in my future.......looking to the heaven to minimise pirate attacks. lol
last night I got to the last mission of the expansion campaign. The word frustration doesn't even come close! Right off the bat they demand you deliver 40 tools and 60 building modules. 5 minutes later 20 functional food was demanded, 5 minutes after that - 25 carbon fibre!! I mean come on!!! WTF!?! and if you don't deliver, you get a tsunami, the building site you are supplying can't be hit by more than 3 waves total.
I should really play this game some more, I played so much Anno 1404 but I've had zero time to play games recently. I have GW2 almost untouched on my hard drive, and a long list of games I still need to play. I hope I've still got my save on there where I was bulding 2 back to back monuments for the two factions How does everyone find the time? Being a grown up sucks sometimes. I've had to take a day off today just to get on with my studying which I'm behind on.
Stop doing so much and make the time to play. Think I'm being small-minded? "Everything I do, I have to do"? That's complete bull. So many people do things cause it's expected of them. Don't wanna turn this whole thing into a "serious" thread - just saying: if you can't find the time to play games, and really want to? Prioritise your life a bit better and make to effect/time to play. 2 hour workout, 6 days a week "cause I'm supposed to" is not gonna mean much when you leave this world. /over sensitive raw nerve 2cents
150,000 credits 1050 Tools 320 Wood 250 building blocks 195 Carbon 160 Concrete 100 Glass 100 Steel Running cost: 2500 credits, 750 Power That is the toughest thing I've ever built in an anno game.
