Via BoingBoing: Last Thursday, President Bush signed into law a prohibition on posting annoying Web messages or sending annoying e-mail messages without disclosing your true identity. So it's OK legal if you use your real name. ch424
So where's your real name, ch24? That should be fun on Usenet, when all the trolls have to unmask, or face the wrath of bush.
Don't they have a little known thing called the first amendment that means he can't pass that law? /how'd he get a second term? //Probably the same way as the first. ///doesn't read fark
Buts whats he gonna do about it? You could call G. Bush (The Turd oooops I mean Third), a complete moronic monkey. But whats he gonna do about it? Sweet FA because he cant Freedom of speech in constitution and all that!
No, worryingly he was actually voted in the second time around. I'm not sure which is worse, letting a non-elected president take power for 4 years, or voting him in after those 4 years are done.
You can find my real name and ch424 on the same page if you look hard enough. That's good enough for me. And as pointed out, we're all in the UK, so all you ****ers STFU! Serious bit: I guess this is just like being done for anti-social behaviour on the street. It's not like it's entirely unjustifyable... ch424
Reading the comments at the link, the original 'story' seems pure sensationalism designed to get the reaction it's generally got in this thread. So sending dirty emails gets the same treatment as making dirty phone calls - it's OK if it's to your wife or girl-friend and she knows it's you. Otherwise, get found out and you get your collar felt.
Ahh, they didn't have the comments in my newsreader. That makes much more sense. Amazing what the media will distort for a story... ch424
now i wonder what would happen if i change my name to 'anono mously' and start emailing whitehouse.gov about their riduculous new laws and monkey-boy bush's sexual orientation......
