Got my new case antec 1200 and will be using GTX260 that is already in my p4.

I have decided to build around the i7 920 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-280-IN

I'm looking at input on motherboard from you guys, also as I run xp and will stick with it until I'm pushed into moving onto windows 7 then I shall stay with it, so I know 4gb of memory is all i need, what I'm not sure about is which to go with.

I'm looking at spending around 500 - 600 on the basic 4 components, I'm not going to oc as I don't want to shorten the lifespan out of my cpu.

I would also like input on PSU (this isn't included in the budget i stated earlier) as i need/want all fans to run, so a PSU with enough cables to power all fans and enough for extra drives at a later date.

Thanks in advance for your time and input.

First off I would'nt buy from overclockers their after sales is pretty awful and they are over priced ,scan are a better choice I would look at one of the corsair 2x2 kits for memory and one of the asus motherboards as the psu probably corsair again, Also I would wait intel are replacing the
i7 920 with the 930 in feb which has a faster clock speed @2.8g around the same price and if your not overclocking you might as well get the faster one.

    only jokin' bumsrush.
but he has a point, you should probably wait a few weeks and get the i7 930
as for psu, most somewhat modern psu's have enough cables to keep you happy. a decent brand 500w psu should be good enough.
and while overclocking does shorten the lifespan of your cpu, it is still so much longer(measured in decades) than the typical replace cycle.(measured in years)
