I always seem tired, no matter what I do I feel tired. Right now I'm tired. Its really frustrating as I cant get much done without wanting or needing to go to sleep. I only mention it here as I recently went for a blood test on an unrelated matter and noticed a poster with something like "Haemochromotosiss" or something and it seemed to explain what I had as a while back I had a blood test that said I had a high amount of iron in my blood. Either I have too much iron, or I'm a lard ass... not sure which is worse /doses off while typing
Could be a lot of things mate such as your diet, not enough exercise or stress related. Get it checked out with your doctor to be on the safe side.
Yeap. Im always knackered, i just get on with it. Usually i have to have a nap in the afternoon/early evening especially if i get up early (talking student early here - normal for everyone else), then im wide awake from 9-early hours of the morning. Ive had quite a few blood tests for various stuff over the years but the doctors say its just the way i am. Usually exercise helps me sleep better, cause i knacker my body as well. If i have a full day (9-5) when i get home i just sleep till dinner, then get on with what i can before going back to bed, i loose whole evenings. Its usually todo with diet and proper sleep - ie if you dont get REM you will still be tired. A crap diet, no exercise and too much caffine will screw you up too.
When you have a high amount of iron in your blood, my guess is that you actually shouldn't be this tired. Anyway, check out what you are eating, and do a little research on any things you might have allergical reactions to (check out what your relatives are allergic to as well, there might be a connection). Besides that, maybe you are on any kind of medication, could even be aspirines. Check out any side effects of those medicins. Oh and by the way, my girlfriends thyroid gland isn't doing its job properly, making her very tired as well. Do you have any other complaints? Keep on forgetting things, even simple things? Having trouble concentrating? Depressed a lot? Good luck with it.
I've heard that iron deficiency can make one tired, so maybe the problem is that you have to little iron in your blood?
Yea, iron deficiency and anemia does cause you dont have enough oxygen to the brain. Thyroid eh? Not enough enzymes?
Some days I feel more tired than others, but I'm not normally that bad. I normally hit the hay about half eleven, or twelve, but I'm not always that tired that I feel I need to, but I know that any later than that and I'll be getting < 6 hours sleep, so it's more a case that I have to. I do a 9 hour work day, cycle minimum of 16 miles, and often run or swim when I get home as well. A lot of it does have to do with your diet, and your routine. Back when I was studying, I was like you; always tired. I ate quite well, and walked to uni and back every day for some light exercise, and was never that stressed, but just felt knackered all the time. Since starting my new job though I have a proper routine and I've been fine since. If you don't already, try to get in a habit of going to bed at a reasonable hour, like no later than midnight (as absurd as that might sound to some of you). Get up no later than 9 as well. That's a full 9 hours sleep, more than enough, and three hours more than I get a night and consider all the exercise I do! If you stay in bed much later than that, you just get lethargic. When you wake up, have a shower, shave (if you need to ) and put clean clothes on. It makes the world of difference. This might not apply to you directly, as I have no idea what your lifestyle is like, you didn't mention that much, but it is something to consider. I used to feel the same way, and used to wonder about getting blood tests or talking to my GP, when in actual fact it was unneccessary and I just needed to reassess the way I live out my every day life. PS: What percentage of the "5 portions of fruit and veg a day*" would you say you get? *(A portion being equivalent of a handful, or so I'm told)
Does steak count as fruit and/or veg? I'm sure its probably the accumilation of a lot of things for me: I loose my sleep pattern every full moon (very odd.. must be a lycanthrope or summit. extra points for know what that is without checking out the dictionary), which results in me sleeping really really bady - sometimes not at all for upto 3 days straight. Add to that my diet of fat, fat with some meat stuck on it and fat with some chips attached. Also, my exercise rutine consists of getting up in the morning "doing my business" then plonking my ample buttocks on my chair using the computer. I really shouldnt be surprised, but its hard not to get agitated from being tired by just sitting and letting your ass grow.
It could be Hypoglycemia you know.... basicly... poor management of sugars etc... so you eat or something... and then you're ok... and then you get... dead... I myself believe myself to be hypoglycemic... (follow the symptoms... and eliminated caffeine as a thing..) ((also bought one of those sugar monitors from chemist... and they seem to show it..))
Lycanthropy = Clinically recognised mental disease whereupon the sufferer believes him/herself to be a werewolf. wootage. I'm knackered 24/7, so my body's developed a coping mechanism - I completely shut off for the first 8 hours of the day, and I 'wake up' about 10pm
hehe, I feel nackered all the time. I can't even count the times I have almost fallen asleep while at work.
Get the same, constantly tired. Been getting 8+ hours a night sleep for a fair while now as well... Doesnt seem to matter how much sleep I get, still end up feeling tired after it. Diet is reasonable (as a students can be) Just seem to feel semi "drunk" (thats the best way to describe it) most of the time. Muffled sounds, lack of concentration, you know the feeling after you've had a couple!
well i dont really get tired i mean im wrighting this message @ 2:03am and im 15 and well im alittle tired and 2morow ill wake up between 8-12 (8 if my mum wakes me up to go buy milk). and i dont really train or eat well i just eat loads of shugar(what i usually eat and a few sweets here and there and some snacks.) so maybe it could be u have a fast matabolism i donno im no doctor and i dont intend to be a doctor. i only watch doctor movies since i was 10 or less. so i suggest asking a doctor for a professional opinion or a specialist.
