I'm really glad your dispute turned out ok in the end Lenny... On another note, I'm still waiting for an eBay item I paid for on the 1st of December  It's not anywhere near as valuable as your CPU, but the principle is pretty much the same. Time for a dispute case, and all the "he said, she said" and "my word against yours" that comes along with it :sigh:

Well, it seems my post and anguish was heard by someone somewhere... The seller just messaged me via eBay to apologise for not sending it and to say that it was being collected by a courrier tomorrow! :) She'd been on holidays when the auction ended at the start of December and then sick all over Christmas, and had just forgotten about it. Hopefully I'll have the item by the start of the week :thumb:

    Good to know its over!

would have been great to hear him being forced to pay the money after item was proved to be perfectly working.

In one way yes, but in the end it worked out well because I decided to keep the 990X and he didn't leave negative feedback.

If I hadn't wanted to keep it, I probably would have sent ebay proof that it was in working order, which may have changed the outcome.
