Simple poll - which one for a cheap setup

    Gigabyte ma790fx
    Athlon II 630
    Arctic cooler v2
    Asus 3870x2

Could get either near the £40 mark but cant decide

I have a 300. The only gripe I have with it is the USB slots, imo, are in a stupid place. I know I can move my dvd drive down a notch, but I like it at the top of the case. My Gf is always leaving her usb hdd pluged in and the cable always gets in the way. Plus I have one of those stupid card readers hanging out the front all the time.

Otherwise. Plenty of space for what I have in mind for my case. 2 more 120mm fans going in. Fan controller. the two in there are coming out so I can put quieter ones in on the controller. Room for GTX460. Going to have to mod the bottom though so I can get some airflow to the PSU.

Have a look at the Xigmatek Midgard as an alternative. It is only a couple of £ more than the 300 but loads better in terms of cable routing etc.

I built one for a friend a couple of weeks ago and was very impressed.

Well the 100 is cheaper and has the black interior as standard so that would win me over TBH.
I have an Antec 300 and it's a super case as well. Either way you won't be disappointed.

Whichever case you buy it's worth buying a single 120mm dust filter for the side hole.

I have an Antec 300 at home, but I've just purchased an Antec 100 for my work PC. I'll be building the new rig at some point in the coming week (time permitting) so I'd be happy to share my thoughts and comparisons once I've got it up and running.

The 100 without a doubt. Stunning little case and for the price it's unbeatable. The 300 is getting old now and AFAIK Antec are discontinuing it soon in favour of the 100.

Good choice, I have an i5 system with the Antec 100 in it - works very well for a desktop system that isn't used for gaming. Quiet, compact, slick (black interior is awesome), inexpensive, and light. What more can you ask for? System was straight forward to put together with the usual Antec quality.

scan over the weekend sold 100 at 39 and 300 at 41. I'd still pick the 300 personally. sturdier and less flimsy.

300 here, black interior would definitely be an improvement but for the price I got it I really can't fault a thing. Very sturdy etc.

100 is cheap looking but bigger and better for cables.
300 is nice looking smaller (may be a good point).
As above if it was my money i would get the Xigmatec Midgard.

300 is the one I'd go for.

Built a pc for the missus using this, and was surprised how much PC case you got for your money.

Upgraded the fans on it (except the top one) and now the case is near enough silent.

More than enough drive bays, cooling, and ease of installation than anyone should expect for £40 or so... Nuff said!
