Hiya. I'm a proud owner of an Antec Aria But, in it's current config, it's DAMN LOUD!! Spec(it's my second PC, so no powerfull stuff): ASUS P4R800-vm P4 2.4Prescott with stock Intel cooler with the original thermalpad!! NOW THAT's EXTREME!! (no OC, since mobo does'nt have OC options ) Gigabyte 9550 with stock cooling (to be flashed to 9600, maybe 9600PRO if possible) Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 40Gig 8MB Cache ATA HDD (old...) What I got/will het for her: Thermalright SLK-947U with 92MM Zalman on a FanMate2 Arctic ATi Silencer 2 Any thing I should get for it to shut it up? What do you propose I do with the case? (I'm not sure I wanna cut a window...don't know why though) But if I do cut a window, I'll instal some etched plexy and a small LCD on it) PLEASE: Post some pics of modded Aria's so I can get some ideas! Cheers, Mike
That really made me laugh and cheered me up, great one! But I'm more of a military dude (though, Aria 51 still fit's, as Roswell's a Military base ) If I get a left side panel for my Aria, ther will be some cool stuff. Cheers, Mike
"Gigabyte 9550 with stock cooling (to be flashed to 9600, maybe 9600PRO if possible)" Unless you've got the 128 bit version, you're screwed there. As to OCing on that mobo, i have/had one - use clockgen.
you have a little black box, and its called aria, aria 51, i can just see it! i really hope you use that idea cause it'd be really cool and give me some ideas for a good sff mod. good luck man!
Well since you said ur more of a military person why not put some bullet holes or a window with a gun etching or something like that i mean why not mount a 50 cal on top and make it like one of those hummers with them on top
Well, I put a Zalman 7000B-Cu in mine and it kept the noise down plenty. Also, you can change the PSU fan for something a little quieter if you like . As for the Arctic Silencer, you may have to make modifications to the drive cage in order to get it to fit.
