I'm soooo with you on that!!!

In my profession we're subject to random drink and drug testing, maybe they ought to screen the boys at Antec for glue vapour!

    Damn that uglyyyyy!!!

If Antec were to start making Aluminum cases...That would be great.

What? 8/10 overall score, yet "we'd recommend holding off from buying the Dark Fleet DF-85 at the moment."

Their conscience won't let them recommend anything that scares small children and curdles milk.

And by "sleek" you mean it's supposed to look like a solid brick of brushed aluminum which magically houses a computer? As beautiful as a good clean lined case can be, you've got to admit that they all end up looking dreadfully similar. It gets boring when "high end" cases are all just slabs of aluminum with slightly varying innards.

    Hm? What's this now?

Oh my! Why is that woman putting trash into her "high end" PC case!?

    Oh wait.

    Sweet mother of..! <Hurl>

I'm all for making more unique cases and the DF's have got some neat features, but by gum what were they thinking! And I liked the 300 and could tollerate the 902! It does not even look finished. They could of atleast countersunk the screws for the 140mm's in the roof.

I wish they would apply all of this learning to the P-series. It not got any love for a long time. It does not even have to look like a fridge. The CM wavemaster was a good example of whats shiney but not boxy.

I'm only going to own *one* high-end PC case at any one time, so how alike they all are doesn't really bother me.

And if I'm going to own a high-end PC case, I'd rather it looked like a sleek aluminium bin, than the contents of one.

I'm very seriously interested in the review of the Graphite Corsair case, which screamed "QUALITY" in my face last night.

But what's with Antec? Mid-life crisis?
At this day and age, and with the PC market at it's best, surely people can come up with some amazing designs?
I'm even desiging a better case right now in my imagination, based on the lamborghini murcielago.
And oh yes, it is yellow.

Now that's something I would like to see as well.
    Miura
    Stratos

For something slightly more modern, I also like his Mantide

I think if you read the first part of the paragraph you quoted from your question will be answered but just in case it isn't - apart from looks, it's a great case hence 8/10 but in light of other cases waiting in the wings, we'd recommend waiting before splashing out.

I... uh... quite like it. >.>

Call me sick, but I like the looks. <.<

I might get one. If they can sort out the exposed hot swap 2.5" bay, I'd be sold.

Hey, I don't blame you! My only complaint is that it makes no sense what-so-ever to make a rough and tumble industrial looking case and give it what seems to be an all plastic fascia. If I'm buying an expensive and durable case I want all steel construction with few exceptions. The front actually has some good designs to it, easy to clean fan grilles and guards to prevent accidental DVD drive opening, but even high quality plastic just ruins the idea of a strong and protective front. The inside, however, is still perfectly capable and makes for a great case. Also, it's proven itself on cooling capability. Say what you want about it being a "gamer" case, it performs admirably and actually has the cooling to back it up.

If they could make the fascia out of aluminium without bumping the costs sky high, I'd buy the hell out of it, strange SSD drive or not.

As for the hotswap thing, if they added about 2 more inches of internal clearance, so that the drive could be fully hidden and locked away, I'd be happy. Why have those internal connectors on display? put them further back, and under some black metal/plastic and have the clear bit contain all the SSD.
