I think he means using LEDs which can have two different colours rather than fans with 4 LEDs with different colours each. I don't think many people will have tried this because of all the colours and colour combinations available.

looking at my antec led fans, id have to say that changing the leds would be more hassle than it's worth ...

the led's are connected to power by some wierd circuit-board-ribbon dealie ...
you would have to find the same wierd circuit-board-ribbon dealie with 3 rails instead of 2, and then work out what changed which anode was recieving power ...

so are you wanting to show hdd activity in your fans? or something similar? or just wanting to change the color on the fly?

The Cooler Master LED fans are easy to change, 4 of them in each fan too :)

My akasa LED fans look like they're easy to change... and as a bonus they come with a speed controll preset resistor which is very handy (allows you to lower the fan speed without effecting the LED brightness) :)

    Rob.

p.s. I've got an antec one in my vapo, but it's far too difficult to check out the LED's are placed right now :(

    You're wrong, that's tricolour :D

    Rob.

p.s. Generally bicolour led's have two pins, current polarisation dictates colour. with most three pin LED's you can turn both element on at the same time to get a third colour so they're tricolour (though there are a few which produce too much heat and blow up whenyou do this, so they are indeed bicolour).
