Anyone have experience with anti-vandal (Bulgin type) switches? Latest ones from Phobya/Lamptron use 12v feed for the LED rings but mobo pin headers push out 3v making the illumination very dim.

For the power switch I can take LED power from a mobo fan header or via molex or whatever but I want to use the LED ring on the reset anti-vandal switch as a HDD activity indicator but once again the mobo is only pushing out 3v (I believe) on the HDD LED 2 pin header.

How can I get 12v to it for full brightness and still indicate HDD activity?

Easiest will be using an optoisolator. Or you could try disassembling the switch and removing resistor.
