MeMo - In the future you really need to ask yourself:

    (a) Am I contributing anything to this thread by posting the nonsense I'm about to post?

    and / or

    (b) Is this thread actually at all still active?

If the answer to either of the above is no then maybe you could do with simply not posting it...

My experience with them has been bad and good that was all I meant. Was not posting nonsense. So Sorry for the misunderstanding! My bad I should have paid attention to the date of activity. I apologize.

I agree that your post wasn't nonsense. I think it is common people have very mixed and conflicted feelings about antidepressants. In the most extreme example they can be the only thing that keeps someone alive but that doesn't mean that bad experiences aren't valid.

With all due respect George I find your post more problematic than MeMo's.

Like I say, I really don't think MeMo's post was unreasonable per se so the only potential issue the the is the thread resurrection. Hardly crime of the century; more just something that people inadvertently do from time to time that is against unwritten forum etiquette (I've never been 100% clear why it is worst than starting a new thread on the same topic, but I digress).

You may have inserted a judicious "and/or" but given the context I think a little more tact was in order. I'm thinking of the reasons you'd stumble across an old thread about antidepressants and feel compelled to post: It's possible you'd be in a place where that sort of reply really isn't helpful.

I've been thinking what reply to put in this thread since I saw it pop up again, but I'm good thanks man. I decided against going on them in the end, and well...I'm still here! :thumb:

Well long as your feeling happy in yourself that's all that matters. While im not on anti depressants I can sympathise as I take mood stabilisers, ironically the pill (Epillim 200mg) is mainly for epilepsy to control seizures, which my epileptic friend refers to as the sudden urge to break dance. Anyway pills contain Sodium valproate, which is great for stabilising moods or in my case keeping your manic/mania episodes short and infrequent.

First few days are hell you want to eat everything and have a terrible stomach plus end up with a total lack of needing to sleep. After that it calms down an your left with just random weight gain.

Not sure if it will help but, for me exercise helps massively to the point im miserable if I don't get do any over the course of a week, food for thought as exercise releases the good brain hormones do Dopamine Serotonin etc.
