anyone know any artists these days that still record in analogue? im really hearing the difference these days between analogue and digital, even when put on cd, but lp is very noticable. so im really after some decent analogue music. tah
While I was at my dad's place a while back, he pulled out some sheffield labs recorded albums. I wasn't really paying too much attention but he was saying something about how they press the recording directly onto vinyl so as to keep a very realistic sound, i.e. recording straight onto the master vinyl thing. I cant really remember, but when he played them on his hi-fi I must admit they sounded pretty damn cool. one of the records was just a sound test thing, mostly with drums, but it was so clear it was as if I could make out which part of the cymbals were being hit with the dudes drumsticks. I'm no audiophile, not by a long shot but I know that those records were something else. My dad's hi-fi is pretty sweet too mind you.
