    Nice.
Guitar footage is mut better this time around.
Pray tell, though: what's the point of the contest?

Take that backing track, do what you want to it (add metal stuff basically). Best 10 entries get picked by Rob Chappers, who then posts them to somewhere with a public vote. Winner gets a £2000 Prototype Hufschmid Albinodroid guitar.

    It is pretty sexy.

Eugh, its way too muddy on that single coil and the humbucker isnt much better, I'm a stickler for balanced sound and that would just drive me up the wall, on the upside it does look freaking awesome

Well, with it looking like my HCX/Sludge project isn't materialising (Thank you, country without drummers where most of the good musos are drama queens), I might be doing some blues rock/accoustic/country jam project thing. For that, the Amp I have is 100% adequate, but the RG isn't the right axe for the job. I'd need something more classical with a warmer sound.

So I have been looking at the Ibanez Darkstones. Classical looks, tonal versatility, and all in all it looks like a bite-the-back-of-my-hand stunning guitar.
Might have to sell my Iceman Bass for that, but that's OK... it's not like I have a bass amp or play bass really. My heart's in guitars. 2 years of Bassing told me that.
    Edit: Linkies

    White
    or
    Silver Stream Burst

The 520 and the 500 seem identical save for finish...

Yeah... Trying to get the local shop to make me a price on both options.
I am tempted to go Silver Stream Burst as well, but I have SUCH a weakness for white axes it's downright embarassing.
It boils down to the price difference and how much I can get for that Bass of mine.

    SILVERSTREAMBURST ALL THE WAY

In other news, I uploaded a video of me playing some blues, with a slide and everything!

I suck at slide, it seems. But here you go.

    It's also 720p. Sexy, right?

Want a seven string? Jeff Loomis Schecter. You know you want it.

Six string? At a grand, I think you could do worse than to hunt around the shops and just play stuff. I'd recommend ESP/LTD stuff if you're into that kind of thing, but I have a hardon for Schecter guitars, I gotta say. The C-1 is an excellent example of a perfect six stringer for me.

A grand to blow on a guitar eh? mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

PRS Custom, ESP/LTD, man there's so many.

Just to clarify is it 'just' on a guitar or a grand on guitar stuff form a certain outlet? a grand at the right place could probably net you a Jim Root Tele and a tasty piece of Orange to crunch it through :D
