Hi all, so this is the hobby thats taken the place of modding for me. Anyone else into it? I have: 01 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Edition(TJ) 4in Short Arm Lift 33"x12.50" XTerrains JKS Sway Bar Disconnects PSC Trail Stinger Warn Tabor 9k Winch Rear D44(stock) with an Aussie Locker I'm making my own control arms using the machine shop at work, So far I have 1 done: With the money I've spent on this hobby I wish I would have stuck with case modding.
I'm getting into just now. I have a '77 Bronco that I'm fixing up right now, and I will post pics later. Ford 9" , 3" Lift, Rear Disc Brakes, Dual shocks in front.
Nice Jeep, I've got a 02 Xterra 4x4. as I'm from the midwest and its totally flat where I live, mudding is my idea of off-roading, heres a pic of my X after some fun. It was more fun driving around afterwards and pulling up next to people in their big trucks and such and just being like,"yeah i actually use my transfer case" I've really only been cleaning it up so far, like repainting the tow bar(as it look ****) and such. 30x10.5 tires 2 inch lift kit waiting to be installed(new shackles for rear, crank torsion bars up front for IFS, a bigger lift would mean new control arms) and I've a K&N on the way and going to plug all the resonators in the intake to get some more HP I'm hoping for a rear shrockworks bumper(someone hits they total their car tough) and tire carrier and new tires in a 31/32 size when my current ones get too worn. I've stopped spending all the money on my computer and started spending it all on my ride too haha.
mmmmmm V8 90 would be nice lol that 2.5 Duratech diesel just doesn't sound right, even if it is great.
As nice as a utilitarian Land Rover sounds, they're sadly just not available in massive numbers over here, and virtually non existant in my neck of the woods, servicing costs would probably be ridiculous too. and if they are they're usually the very expensive luxury versions.
Nice That is some hardcore kit there. Where exactly do you live? Much off-road action? I bet the wife's wishing you stuck with fiddling with computers eh?
Oh yeh, in the states there is no point, especially when you have Wranglers in abundance, they are your version of the Defender tbh.
