Other Any Good Web Hosts?

Someone on this forum recommended hosting4peanuts about 3 years ago and they where grate (cheap and a good service) unforchantly they’ve just gone bust and I need to find a new host for a 350meg website before the 31st can anyone recommend a good one for someone on a budget?

Are you looking for a US or UK host?

Possibly consider asking on WebHostingTalk.com which is a great (and fully independent) forums for hosts and people seeking hosts.

As an FYI, I'd strongly suggest to avoid the bigger UK hosts (the ones who spend all their money on advertising instead of their services and customers: e.g. Fasthosts, 1&1 etc) since - well - their service is very over-priced for what you get.

Other than that, I haven't used UK shared hosting in years so can't be of help.

Did you settle on any specific host?

 

I've personally used JustHost.com for a few sites and had no hassle with them; very reasonably priced and everything you'd expect or want feature wise (unlimited storage, traffic, email addresses and MySQL DBs).

 

totally agreed! justhost worked perfectly, can't remember any downtime. Couldn't fault them in the slightest.
