Oh, that's the excuse, is it? Fine, I'll buy you a couple of beers, so long as you let me abuse your injured status to gain any sort of perks we can. For example, we should try and sneak backstage, claiming you only have 6 weeks left. Left of what? We don't tell them. *Nodnod*
Metalhead signing in. Likes: Amon Amarth, In Flames (older more then newer, but all are at least good), SuidAkrA, Heaven Shall Burn, Iced Earth, Dimmu Borgir, Watain, Kreator, Children Of Bodom, Kataklysm, Blind Guardian, Endstille, Arch Enemy, etc... (My Lastfm Dislikes: Slow Doom Metal like Obituary (they really bored me when I saw them live), Suicide Silence (It was just unmatching noise when I saw them live), Meshuggah (don't know why, but I simply dislike them)
Been into metal forever, but I have to admit I listen to Drum and Bass and Dubstep more these days. Been to plenty of gigs and festivals. Spent my 15 to 21 years rocking out like a fiend. Don't regret a second of it. Big Day Out, Ozzfest, several Reading festivals and lots and lots of London concerts. <3
Lately I've been listening to some old albums by Evergrey, Iced Earth, Blind Guardian and other stuff like that. I don't know about the US, but here in the UK bands like these seem to be considered kinda obscure for some reason. I know they are much more well-known and popular in the rest of Europe.
I have a soft spot for motley crue aswell i did'nt mention them i don't really consider it metal and more of a hard rock
Same Fave metal band is probably Black Label Society, who I was lucky enough to go and see live a few months ago The support band were epic and I've seen then live again since one one of their headline shows http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUEPDa4WoAo But yeah, I recently discovered dubstep This guy seems to do pretty good stuff... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5pUlsbF3KbI
Another metal head here, I've even got the privilege of working the bar in the Metal room of Plymouth's (UK) Metal Hammer Redeemer Night Stuff I'm working my way through atm: Shadows Fall Behemoth Sabaton Satyricon Born of Osiris Veil of Maya and many more
Motley Crue are gods amongst men. If you like them, Steel Panther are brilliant (albeit a bit silly), Crash Diet are great as well. Lately I've been on a trip that covers everything from Obscura through Chrome Division, Amon Amarth, Crade of Filth, 36CF, Ulcerate, Vomitory all the way to Cobra Starship and that song that Slash wrote with Fergie
Hell yes, awesome band, been into them since 7 Words. This however is my favourite of theirs. Excellent stuff.
I only got into them recently - a friend recommended them and I immediately liked what I heard. For those who haven't heard of them, check this out: Straight Line Stitch - Conversion
Soni backstage was great.. Went out front for the Knot though.. I got a handshake from Sid when he surfed to the lighting rig. I'll put up my vid of him jumping during Duality when I get some phone battery. Anyone else see the guitarist for In Flames who climbed to the top of the stage?
Funeral weren't classed as metal. It's just the OP being silly. I mean comparing Funeral and Trivium to be the same is lolworthy.
