Graphics Any R290 owners yet?

duel 770s type speed is not going to be alot slower than 2 r290s. Across certain benches they may even be faster.

 

That's my evenings activities sorted then....

290 arrived this morning, played for a bit on it, getting about 30-60% better performance than my HD 7950. so pleased there

however, I'm so glad I have a waterblock ready and waiting for it as it is noisy... target of 85C, and fans ran up to 70%... however once it settled in the clock stayed pretty much on 947MHz

Here's a Q...

I've just had a blat on tombraider, NFS HP and Crysis, and the card is near silent.
According to Catalyst, temp was 85 Degrees, and fan was 22%

Is that normal?

 

You might just have a cool house and great airflow. but you might want to monitor clockspeeds in game make sure it is getting upto speed.

 

It's the EK FC Terminal Quad semi parallel. It's a great way to connect all the cards and is very sturdy.

I cant seem to find any reviews. noise is an issue for me and no watercooling loop. so just boring air cooling minus noise hopefully.
