    Any recommendations for a usb external CD/DVD drive burner/Writer ?
    My DVD drive packed up on my laptop so i looking for a external one for around £30 ish,
    (Plextor PX-L890 SA Optical DVD Writer any good)
    Any recommendations & where is best to buy?

    The internal drive on a laptop is usually fairly easy to replace, and much more convenient than an external drive! Check in the manual, or just have a look underneath for a lever of some sort.

    +1 for replacing over buying an external jobbie. Price will be similar, if not cheaper and far more practical.
    Although, you may have to undo a few screws on the bottom case to get access to your DVD drive.
