Nic is 18... As this is my first proper vape unit, I wondered if I need to change anything on a semi regular basis (I don't vape to often, perhaps twice a day every other day?) - I've had this for about two months it maybe the three!

18mg is pretty high for 0.5 ohm
And yes you need to change your coil and wick regularly, I'd hate to see what kind of funk you've got on a 2-3 month old set up that's not been changed

Should probably look at a lower nic level also

    I'd recommend 6mg for .5, even 12 can get a bit scratchy.

Are you vaping in addition to smoking or are you a social vaper? If its the latter then you don't really need much nicotine, so I'd recommend dropping down to 3mg and getting some juice with a VG content of 50-70%

Was smoking... But not a great deal... Maybe three or four a day. Still got the nic hit first thing in the morning which made my legs wobble! Haha

Drop the wattage below 20W with a sub-ohm tank??? Really??? He should be up around 30W or more on that setup - minimum, else he might have well stayed with 1ohm+ setups.

I tend to leave mine @ 18 - 20W with both 1 & 0.5 Ohm coils, with 100% VG the wicking can struggle to keep up over 20W.

FYI if you use Alchemist Cupboard for VG, their supplier has increased the purity apparently, long story short it's a hell of a lot thicker, so get you some water to dilute it down if your set up struggle to wick it.

I'm running 80% VG at 0.16ohm and 80W, with zero wicking issues.

I suppose what I'm getting at is it's all dependant upon your tank and coil setup, so you can't really advise people to use x amount of watts if your liquid is x% VG

You're right, there is nothing wrong with 1ohm coils at 20W... but if you look at what he's vaping, it's the iSub Tank which comes with 0.5ohm coils..... :duh:

would like to just report back on the some Union Vape liquids i got.
Review: low quality, rough, poor flavor and poor vape.
    Its cost me £18 for 3 x 100m for a reason i guess.

    3/10 - wound not recommend.

I think you're getting confused with the Kanger Subtank.

The two larger variants of the Kanger product come with a rebuildable deck, but he has an Innokin iSub Tank which doesn't and there's no aftermarket rebuildable deck option either.

Oh I've fallen way back. :(

After 10 months of vaping I've kind of had a nice preview of how much better my overall health would be if I quit smoking.

But the past 2 weeks vaping has been making me gag or barf my stomach empty & I did try some good retail juice to see if that would make a difference but no, still made me gag, about a month ago I started vaping outdoors only which cut my juice usage down a lot but 2 weeks of gagging regular got me to a point I really can't stand vaping anymore, I've put my device aside for the time being & taken smoking back up. :sigh:

That's disappointing to hear. Forgive me if you're well aware of this, but VG is known to induce peoples gag reflex. Have you tried a higher PG juice?

I'll give higher PG juice a try soon, never used to have a gagging problem with high VG juice, just been the past couple weeks.

Well, that's a Kanger Subox ordered up with 3 different flavours. Let the experiment begin!

Wonder if they've hit a bad batch, I've got blackjack and blueberry which are fine, and a cherry which is harsh and not up to par.
