I just bought the first two books this week. Just reading up on the Targaryens, the history of the seven kingdoms and Essos has me chomping at the bit. Can't wait until they arrive. Some great scenes in this week's episode. Spoiler Ghost saving Gilly and Sam Spoiler All scenes with Olenna Spoiler The scene where Jorah, and Tyrion especially, reveal their identities to Daenerys
LOL me too - loved that episode, and really getting into this series. I have to agree with the Elliot Carver remarks tho... what's he doing in GoT? haha.
What an episode!! Spoiler The battle with the White Walkers was one of, if not the best battles in the show so far. Valerian steel got a whole lot more important Spoiler The Dany and Tyrion scene had some good dialogue, and Cersei gets some lovely treatment Spoiler Arya's story is starting to pick up too!
There are subtle flags, there are hamfisted flags, and then there's Olly. It really bothers me that they're doing so much with this character.
Overall a much better episode then the last few which have been a bit slow, the final 2 will be interesting though a lot of hype about 10.
Enjoyed episode 9 also! Still can't believe Spoiler my boy Stannis gone and done that! Say it aint so! The pit scene at the end was immense!
There has been quite a lot of criticism that this season has been really slow but I haven't felt that at all.
Episode 9 was awesome. But... Spoiler I'm still waiting for that little ***** Ramsay to get what's coming to him, but I doubt it'll happen this season .
There appears to be a couple of options being teed up for that, I doubt we'll see it resolved this season. I tending to think it might be a Sansa/Reek/Theon collaboration that will be in store for him - actually, I'm not sure if I really think that or hope it.
Spoiler We need characters who we love to hate, and Ramsay fits that bill very well. As gratifying as it no doubt will be to see him get what's coming to him - I think there's plenty of room left for his character. I can see him being outmanoeuvred by Sansa and Theon at some point, but just slipping away by the skin of his teeth - popping up later as a returning nemesis. Not having read the books, I could be a million miles out, but it'd be a shame to prematurely put him to death. Stannis is doing a good job setting himself up as a figure of hate, and it was a bit cowardly to send off Sir Davos on an errand to Castle Black before firing up the Baratheon BBQ; because he knew he could expect resistance.
