STEAM name... Would that be the username one uses to log into STEAM with? The one that in my case is a now defunct email address, because way back when I registered email addresses were the only type of username allowed. Oh, by the way, don't have MW2. My question is purely rethorical.
What does it say when you go to File > Settings in the main Steam window under the 'Account Name' field (which should be just above your registered e-mail address)? You also have a 'screen name' which is completely separate and you can change it to whatever you like.
Well, it says exactly what I thought it'd say, namely that old email address. I faintly remember contacting VALVe about this a couple of years ago, but apparently they won't let you change that "username" to something that makes more sense. On the up side it'll probably make it harder for someone trying to hijack my account. Thanks for the reply, by the way.
