Steam Anyone for some L4D2 tonight?

Hokay- Playing VS against four people who actually know what the **** they're doing is just annoying as hell. I couldn't get close as the ****ing tank, and even when I did hit; damn game lagged around it, so I did less than 100 damage as the tank. What the absolute flying ****.

 

Holy crap I'd forgotten how much fun that game is, thanks for that guys (even if it took me a while to get back into it :S) Doesn't get better than jumping 3 in one life as a hunter

 

It wasn't that bad! Admittedly, I was on the other team...

Overall a fun evening - can everyone/anyone make it tomorrow evening? If we can get 3 more players, then we can have a proper 4v4 match.

I wasn't entirely sure if my mic was working or not, it's been a long time since I've used it in a steam game (in fact I'm not even sure if I have since the new parts at xmas).

We should look into use of mumble or ts3 or even skype maybe if this becomes regular, the more the merrier (read: deadier ) I say.

 

Well, there is always the option of a Steam group voice chat, if a bit taxing on the network connection. I thought the reason we use the L4D2 voice chat is to a) stop the other team from hearing us and b) communicating with the random strangers that play it.

Here's to hoping that, at least, it winds up with balanced-ish teams next time. Being by myself with three randomers who don't communicate or team up was rather frustrating. It's only the horror of breaking yet another screen that kept my temper barely in check.

 

Take comfort in the fact that at least your score was quite colossal in comparison to theirs

 

We can get a lobby going, split the players and then let the plebs in to make up the numbers

 

That's a good idea. If we get enough people on I might start getting fraps on the go too, there's always comedy in L4D2 Like people being in and out of the chopper at the same time

I may have to see if I couldn't record from my perspective, too. It'd only be 1280x1024 at the moment, but it could still spice things up a bit to have two viewpoints.

I'd just have to spank Afterburner into correctly recording off Stereo Mix and Microphone at the same time.
