Funny you say that, ill need to check but as far as i know i dont have subs under the seats but the sterio does have an extra cable that has a crap tone of rcas on it all labeled for speakers, but there dont seem to be cabling in the car for that, they all go into the main unit.


Ive screwed about with the eq alot in the last few days .... its defo sounding better than it was, but still cant get a nice balance, could sound close to perfect on one song then like a whaling cat with another, its incredibly unbalanced. My brother in law likes to go to car shows alot and theres one coming up soon im sure, i think i might tag along, im bound to find someone with something similar there i imagine that i can maybe compare it to

 

I also need to check myself before replying, for 'sub' read 'amp' as they don't like being fed the wrong inputs.

My first step would be swapping it out with a more reputable unit, the aliexpress page promises much for not a lot of dollar.

I took it to a car show thing, some dude had the same sterio, diff car but, so he came over had a play with it, and played with the settings, mainly the equliser, and it sounds miles better now, close to what it was if not the same, so much happier with it now.

So took the plunger and done the rest of the wiring, so car now has android sterio, boot reverse camera, gps, wifi , 2 usb ports, new mic for handsfree calls, and wifi android auto, replaced all the internal lights with led ones. Not bad for a 2010 e90
(Just need to get a dechrome, get the dashcam that looks like it blends in with the mirror housing, wheel refurb maybe (thinking black), and lastly maybe a wee remap on it to make the pedal feel a little more responsive). Overall tho, very happy with the car. Love the purchase, cant keep the thing clean but. Friend keeps telling me to get it crematic coated, something else to look into i guess lol.
