Picked up Diamond a few days ago, it's the first Pokémon game I've played since Blue on my GB and am having a load of fun. As I said, I've only played one of the original Pokémons, so there are tons of changes for me, it's quite difficult to get my head around it all since not all of it is explained too well, like effort points or whatever they're called. Been playing it for almost 10 hours so far and I've got pretty much every pokémon I can catch so far although I'm stuck on the second gym leader since my best Pokemon are weak to grass, currently training up some pokemon that are strong against them.
I'm proud to say it's my first since Red/Yellow. Absolutely love it. Played 30 hours so far and have completed the main part. Need to level up a lot more pokemon to trade tho. Friend code in sig
Also my first game since Blue/Red. I purchased Diamond and the Other Half (OH) purchased pearl, its pretty good fun I must say. Pretty much the typical RPG type game.
I have actually played most of the others in one version or another and these are deferentially the best, but I became stuck for a bit, but I have now completed the first (main) bit. the best bit is the underground mini game imo. @ Veles: i used the bird.(the is one good fire type )
Okay I do NOT mean to be rude or anything, I am just curious. How old are you guys ? If you say you played most of the other pokemon games, then you must still be young, right?
Try the games as just games they are made well and have a good plot to go with it, i stopped watching the show years ago along with the cards. its just a good game one of the best rpg's I've played. btw I'm 17
pkmn silver was the best, nearly completed my dex on diamond. ive got 400ish so far and ive scene more, got the imported version from chips.
Got a team of lvl 100's but i also got the imported version. so ive had it quite a while now Edit: added you DougEdey, i could breed you some pokemon's if you wish.
Pokemon Sexy time! I'm levelling up on Victory Road atm. Everything is still below level 50. But I got the Big Bird. Need to enhance it's PP.
Yes I have heard douzens of times that they are good RPG's games 17 makes sense, you were what, 10 or 11 when pokemon got popular
I'm 20, was in like year 8 when Pokemon first came out I think. The game itself is very good and shouldn't really be labelled as a kids game just because it has fluffy creatures. In reality, Pokemon is quite a sick concept, forcing small animals to fight each other until one of them passes out for shits and giggles. When you're not doing that you're attacking wild ones, imprisoning some of them in little balls and storing them in a computer, and since you can only have six, you usually have a dream team and keep the rest locked away in digital form. Finally completed the second trainer, flying pokemon work quite well against the grass ones so I used the peck attack of my starting pokemon and that bird one you can catch at the very start of the game. One thing I find annoying is when you destroy boulders and stuff they don't stay destroyed, that means I'll have to have a pokemon with cut and one with rock smash in my party at all times, even more when I get more abilities like push, etc.
How many Pokemon creatures exist now? I haven't played since the originals too. Nidoking was da bomb. A Pokemon that bones his missus!
Pokemoooon! I've wanted to play the new Pokemon on the DS so badly. Though unfortunately I do not own the game, or either the handheld. Pokemon games are legendary, and i've always loved them (the RPG ones anyway) whilst despising the TV series/cartoon all together. I did think of emulation, but thats a bit naughty. Lol
