i was wondering if anyone owned a tivo device but more specifically a tivo as ti does fancy things like predict what you will like & i was wondering if they were any good (After being modded to bigger drives obviousely) & as i keep forgetting what is on are these nay good to remember what is on & stuff like that? i want one but i need to be convinced before i start saving for one
I have sky+ box. Essentially the same (although the Tivo owners will thumb their noses over their 'superior' software). The quality is supurb, as it records the original bitstream from that sat dish, so there is no difference between a live transmission and a recording. One thing to note that with Tivo and Sky+, there is a monthly subscription for the service (Tivo does have a one off lifetime subscription). I don'e even have cable anymore. Apparently mom had it turned off last month and I didn't notice till this week
cheers GOO im getting tivo when i can afford it as im on FTA terrestrial digital & anologue sat & may be having cable installed as well (the sky box is downsatiars) & once if hachited to for bigger drive support put it on my netowrk behind a firewall, work out how to control it on my pc then i can dial in & control it anywere
