My old housemate used to have a DLP, which we used for films in the living room. However, since she left our house, I've missed it and was thinking about buying another one.

I have literally zero knowledge about DLPs so I was wondering what I need to know before buying? I'm going to go second hand, since I haven't got much money, I assume this one has gone by now but it looks like the kinda thing I want.

I always thought DLP was a poor choice for home cinema use. 3LCD sounds like a better solution. (You won't get the color sync issue).

But then again, It's been a really long time since I last looked into this.
