hi, Basically i wanna mod my case both in and out but im pretty much a moddin noob so if anyone could reccomend some *easy* good looking mods and maybe some slightly harder ones for later.. Is my pc atm is this hole enough ventilation (at bottom/base of my pc) to let a 120mm fan run at the front? (its a a few cms) anyone have suggestions easy or hard (easy would be better for now)? Thanks jAkE
some better pics showing the whole case would be good, why not search the project section on the main forum, thats what ive done to get insperation and im doing similar this but with my own twist
Case mods ah a dracula case right? well there are alot of things you can do.. cable wraping, lights, addition of lighted fans , etc. etch a nice picture in that window to go with the theme of the case. definetly looking in the forums for ideas is a place to start. plan things out well before starting anything you don't want to mess up your case. good luck
if i were you i would paint over that chrome, it looks terrible IMO, but if you like it you can leave it. also sort your wires a bit better and get some more lights.
change the blue leds and fan to red or red to blue lol it looks kinda funny. I used to have the diabolic Miotaur case similar to your, dracula, and was thinking of modding it but trashed it and got a new Cooler master Wave master on e-bay for 50$ lawl.
i'de say start with a good plain biege box, something you can afford to mess up before you do anything to your current case- see if any freinds have old cases lying around, even some old at-style ones would be good to learn the basics on. As for a final mod you'de probably be better off with a case that wouldnt need so much worked around- the plastic chrome has allways seemed tacky to me though : / Cable tidying is allways a good start, as mentioned before
like pirate said, use an old case, like a 10$ one try cutting windows and stuff into it and blowholes and stuff, so that if you totaly mess them up atleast it isnt on your actul case have fun modding to
thanks guys... ive been reading project logs but they are very advanced for me... guess ill have to get some research in before i start anything. Conviently anough my dads job is repairing pcs so he has around 100 valueless beige cases to mess with . My case looks a little tacky but dont have the funds for new one atm, anyway guess im gonna go read some more logs n stuff.. btw if anyones interested the reason i dont have the money is i just bought a 7800gt thanks for advice guys jAkE
deffo start with a cheap simple case that you can screw around with and something with more potential. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811164067 Classic example of a case you can just do some work on and by the time you are done no one will recognize it. $28 and a spare tester supply if you need one A case like the one you have is going to be hard to make entirely original becuase its pretty much a premod case. Unless you removed all the mouldings and designs from it, theres not much you can do aside from cutting holes and putting windows in or maybe an industrial look with some mesh.
OR use crome fans polish up everythin inside ur case and even get some crome sleeving like flexiable shower crome hose or find some crome/silver sleaving from a auto parts shop or to find some. and lots of lights to make crome stand out.
