If you want a particular bike that bad, get a small oxy-acetylene rig, they can easily fit in a backpack, and if you keep the oxygen pressure down to around 10 psi, it wont be that loud. I'd like to see a bike lock that can stop that. But if you have a bike nice enought that people are busting out torches to steal it, you should have it locked away somewhere else anyway.

I wouldn't lock my bike up and leave it anywhere public.

A mate of mine had a kryptonite lock that looked very similar to that one. It was securing his bmx/cruiser to the floor in his (locked) shed. One night, someone tried to nick it, but they couldn't get through the lock. They resorted to cutting the frame, leaving the lock intact. So no money from the lock people :duh:

i had to laugh when i read one of the quotes on that link :-

"I kind of don't trust this manufacturer now,"

kind of? either you trust or you don't theres no kind of....

personally I used a K-lock(cheapo from woolworths) for around 4 years (when i got my new bike) and nobody stole mine, its all about the area you stay in (mind you the state my bike was in for 3 1/2ish years who can blame the thieves for not pinchin it!!)

Bring on the daredevil stunts!!

i use one of those rubber/plastic coated cables with a key lock on the end or if I'm feeling to lazy to get the key, unlock the cable, stretch out the cable, etc i use a cheapo, slightly rusted combination lock chain
