Lol this is funny. More people and it would be great. I like the stereo you have gone for.

 

Stereo is just down to the recording software. Because H was recording it put him on one speaker and everyone else on the incoming on the other. I think it works quite well

3 people chatting isnt bad, four would be better but any more than that and it gets hard to interrupt and know when to speak and make a point. It's not like chatting face to face.

 

yeah interesting, i bet you two could be on radio 2 or some super chilled jazz station.Id love to be on the next one......

Yeah I got a lot of breathing in my left ear. But with three people it was really good. Thanks guys!

 

Didn't actually realise how bad the breathing was until I just played it back on my hifi. If everyone seems happy with Stereo I'll stick with that.

Next time round I'll have a fully working mic. The clip broke on the one I was using so I had to hold it, I've fixed the problem now by super gluing on a old ID badge clip. I've also found a spare mic in my box of bits. Won't be recording the next one at such crazy hours and Richard's Darth Vader impression won't be making a appearance.

It was all part of the plan to make it a "comedy" Keep the comments / feedback coming.

just wondering, did you guys use skype? if so is it any good as im thinking of using it. but im unsure of using their software as it looks Adware filled. Are there any 3rd party skype softwares avail?

 

I think the one he's talking about is the guy whom talks first Introductions would be a good idea, as we've no idea who's talking (well, most of us don't)

 

Yes we used Skype with Hot Recorder. Haven't really found adware to be a issue with Skype, quality is very good.

As been mentioned this was more of a "test" than a proper go at it. Intro's and things of that nature, were rather lost as everyone who were sheduled to be on weren't.

Another thing, why ogg?!

Although I'm not complaining at all.

 

Cause audacity only outputs in ogg by default. It doesnt have lame to convert into a reasonably high bitrate mp3 and I couldnt find lame on it's own, per say. It's always *in* programs.

a podcast you cant actually use on an ipod. Ironic, huh.

I will do an mp3 for next time: ill output it to wave and use another program to do it.

If this become a regular thing, look into creating an XML file so that people can subscribe to it.

 

To be fair to Richard, he was very stressd at the time, with problems with recording and people dropping out. Anyway as said before it's was a test to see if it could be done. It very nearly didn't happen, if Brett hadn't shown up when he did we would have just called it a night. Next one will be a lot better.

As far as quiet audio goes that would have been mine, since I had to hold the mic for the entire recording as the clip had broke. I didn't know how close / far too hold it.

Atm, it looks like it will be every 2 weeks. Before we start getting into feeds, we need a name
