Planning Anyone with cad fancy drawing me a fan grill.

    Im looking for someone that dosent mind and has some free time to draw me up a fan grill in some sort of cad program, i would do it but all i have is my netbook justnow :grr:

    basicly im after a double 120mm radgrill with the ankah design from my project log as the grill design instead of the usual slots.

    If you can take a sketchup file I could give it a shot.

    Edit: Looks like free Sketchup can't export to something like .dxf unless you only want a .png or a .jpg, otherwise it'll have to be a .skp.

    can be a png or jpeg its just to get an idea of what it would look like
    then ill send it to tom for machining

    What material are you going to be using?

    Also, can it extend beyond the size of the rad?

    either 3mm alu or 3mm plexi
    and yeah i could be aslong as it uses the 8 standard fan holes

    Good, because I had it extend beyond the rad size. :D
    The holes are correct based off of MNPCTECH's website. Thanks Bill for having basic dimensions posted!:thumb:

    What I have now is a two piece grill, but it could easily be melded into a single piece if need be. Other modification suggestions welcome as well.

    No problem. Glad you like it.

    I'm kind of taken by this design. I think I'll tweak it a bit more, add the parts I left out. I'll merge it to one piece and see how it looks and I'll add mesh to the 2-piece design.
