im really really playing this album too much and i need a fix of something else to give pendulum a break so not to ruin it. but is there anything im thinking about dusting off my old roni size stuff but its got that ghetto feel to it, pendulum feels sooo fresh
Pendulum, I have to tell you, they do a unique kind of dnb. If you like the softer songs (atmospheric dnb), like Still Grey, you should give Omni Trio a listen.
chers guys, ill give omni trio a shot, ive heard of that name before. @samor, is that the right name of them ILS?
Distorted Minds have a DnB style akin to that of Pendulum, heavy bass lines and such. Others you check out that might tickle your fancy are: Sketch and Code Benny Page ShyFX and T-Power (especially this) DJ Hype Aphrodite and/or DJ Greg Pecker (especially this) and also (even though they aren't reall Pendulum style DnB): Ram Trilogy Accidental Heroes Dieselboy DJ Dextrous Dope Ammo High Contrast (this guy is awesome, a computer nerd with drum and bass at heart, he looks really strange, my friend met him once)
Any of High Contrasts Remixes of songs. I know you mentioned Roni Size but his New Forms album is certainly worth a listen to again.
You should check out EZ Rollers. they are a bit more liquid then Pedulum but really good IMO. If you want it harder go for DJ Fresh and Muffler!
There is a lot of underground DnB which is similar to Pendulum but which sounds a lot grittier and harder - go to a place that sells records for DJ's and have a listen to some tunes (they won't mind you using the deck) and take note of the labels/artists you like.
After a quick listen to some pendulum tracks that aren't Slam, I agree with Omni-Trio. Maybe also consider Implex, maybe not, I like 'em both.
