first off: YAY! my router is working again, somehow using a 12v adapter from another router I just got free from my ISP, shouldnt work as the 'original' was 18v

    Anywho...

I have an apache server serving a website on my home computer, but as I have installed the router it is no longer accessible from outside. works perfect when I use the loopback address (127.0.0.1 or "localhost"). I know the router has an NAT which I think might be the problem, but I have setup port forwarding to forward ftp/http/bittorrent to my 'puter; but for some reason its still not working.

    anyone got any bright ideas?

    Is this your setup?

If so you need to setup the port mapping on your router. Tell the router to send port 80 to port 80 on the IP of your web server.

thanks, i figured that out a few days back, I thought I updated this page... no matter.

Turns out my pc was being constantly disconnected from the internet, so when I tried to monitor my downloads, the connection wasnt present. I thought it was something wrong with my setup. I am a bit suspicious of the NIC though... keeps disapearing off my router.
