Graphics apature size

    right i have a 256mb gfx card how do i know what the apature size is set to, i cant find it within my bios, i heard it shoulw be 256mb... and also i have heard it should be half of the mem on your gfx card?

    is there any performance gain#? cheers

    PCI-E cards have a built-in address remapping table, so there is no set aperture as such.

    As Hitman said, the memory aperture size only applies to AGP video cards. It does not apply to video cards on the general PCI bus, which includes PCI-express video cards like the GeForce 7800GT you have.

    in agp i always set mine to double the amound on my card is that right?
