So much for Apple not licensing it's tech, eh? This from the Beeb:

Apple is to produce a version of its iTunes online music downloading service which will be compatible with Motorola mobile phones.

Under the deal, Motorola phones will be able to install songs from iTunes via a USB cable or Bluetooth connection.

Apple said the new iTunes music player would become Motorola's standard music application for its music phones.

Motorola - the world's second biggest mobile phone maker - said the music handsets would be available from 2005.

Financial details of the deal between the two US firms were not disclosed.

You also have to remember that Apple and Motorola have been dealing with each other for decades now. If I remember correctly, the first few macs had Motorola 68000 processors in them. So I figure that Apple would be more inclined to license it's tech to Motorola which they have been dealing with for a long time now. Rather than Real Networks, that is trying to promote a rival format, and whose software on MacOS is absolutely terrible. Even worse than the windows version. At least from what I can remember.
