Yeh the black is the shiny, and the mini was only for people that liked strapping things to their arm while exercising

4GB nano for $249 on 20GB iPod (Photo) for $299? Style vs capacity... it isn't an easy choice... Also, am I the only one who thinks the nano might snap in half?

It's ok, it's hardly "going to change the rules for the entire portable music market" though.

Also it looks too long, there's so much wasted space either side of the scroll wheel thing.

I agree, they probably have that extra space because they didnt want to make it any thicker.

BLACK fa sure, they shoulda dumped the clynical white by now really or maybe offered more colour options for all products.

Was thinking, they sound great, but like most people on here I wouldnt be able to get much on there (got 100gb+ music).

What's the top mp3 at the mo? I need a new one, me old 10gb archos is dead (cost £40 tho :)).

Heard good things bout a Sony one and some of the I-river's, aint really up to date on mp3 players tho. Any quick recomedations? (dont wanna spam this tread too much)...

Sound quality (as ive got Sennheiser 580's :D) and UI are important, must be 20gb or more and be pocketable and obviously a reasonable price :)

I quite like my Sony NW-HD5, small enough, easy enough to use, job done. And I like the way it looks.

mrhaz, why are you annoyed about the lack of colours? You already have a green iPod mini so just because this new apple product comes along doesn't mean you have to buy it.

I think they look pretty sexy as usual but also rediculously expensive as usual. Oh well that's the price you pay to be fashionable I guess.

Ah - you obviously haven't seen the Nano Tubes then. And you're not constrained to one colour, as you get all 5! ;)

    nano tubes Cheesecake!!

Not a bad looking little mp3 player. But thats it, it looks cool, but you have to fork out a ton for it. No thanks, my k750i can play mp3s just fine.

So much for the 8GB model rumoured. It'd need to be that size for me to consider moving from my current 20GB iPod but the black is very nice. Hay Black is the new ahh black :thumb:

    Oh...yay...yet another ipod variant...woot.

I hardly see how it is so radically going to change the mp3 market tbh; it's just a hybrid of the shuffle/mini...

Cellphone looks boring. At least they could have given it Razr looks...

And what's with the battery? Apple makes a big fuss about how the iPod battery eventually may need to be replaced. Sorry, but my Palm IIIc and T3 have Lithium batteries and they have been going for years without a single glitch or loss in performance. In fact Palm says they should last the lifetime of the PDA. How come Apple appears to have such issues with theirs?
