A job posting from Apple points towards a refresh of the Mac lineup to include internal 3G modems to supplement the existing AirPort wireless networking.

 

About bloody time!

 

yeah well...3G modem for another 300$... Thanks, but no thanks...

 

That main issue here is are they going to allow you to use a Sim from any mobile network or lock it down to an exclusive provider like they have done with the iPhone?

 

I would be amazed if they tied it into just one network as 3G data is quite a different thing to the iPhone

ya lol 4g is out now a bit late =p but I dont see the point of having it built in, I mean its not like its free you still have to subscribe to some kind of service but either way I would rather get an air card instead of pay an arm and a leg granted thats Apples way get the not so bright folk to pay twice the price for something thats similar competition offers for half or less the price.... ~_~
