Yep, it was like I stole it of the guy! There was one bidder on it, I pushed in £20 and hit his reserve. I was expecting the other guy or someone else to chime in but nope!! :D

I love the Mac, it is totally awesome compared to my last PC and laptop. Considering my works PC (which is the faster than both) has a Q6600 and 4Gb RAM this Mac doesn't feel any slower in the design apps which I really find amazing! I am going to upgrade the ram tho and possibly the GPU to a 6800 Ultra.

As for monitor, I currently use my trusty Dell 2005FPW. However, one of the main reasons I bought a tower was so I could purchase a Cinema display before I got a Mac Pro, so I will get a 23" Cinema display. The 30" display would be awesome tho!

BTW, thanks for the positive comment! :thumb:

Make sure you get a Mac-compatible video card. The PowerMacs were AGP pro, as I recall, and they were not happy unless you put in a Mac-certified card/one that had been flashed to a Mac firmware (AFAIK). So be careful with that.

Thanks for the info, yeah it is AGP Pro. After seeing the price of the 'Mac' versions I think I'll just leave the GPU alone! :eeek:

RAM upgrade is a must tho, I can get 6Gb from Crucial for £130 delivered and that would take it to the 8Gb limit.

I've got the 6800 Ultra in my G5. Freaking beast of a graphics card. I wish it worked with pcs though. It's still better than the pos I have in my "gaming" computer.
