    First Mod....

Bought an Apple Slot load DVD for a epia project I'm working on, saw the Zapwizard mod and the rest is history!

Noticed the wires poking out of the top? That's cos I slipped with the superglue on my mini microswitch and had to cut a hole in the top for a bigger one!

Still plays dvd's using my pc...

Camera Battery ran out here. If anyone is interested I'll take some more of the insides when I get time...

    What do you think?

Got the drive on ebay for about £40. Came with an apple 50 pin adapter that I had to fudge to work with normal ide. Usually you don't get the connector. Normal laptop connecters are the wrong way around and stick out... :waah:

i purchased an apple slot loading drive and i cannot get it to work with windows. the model number is CW-8121-C. the bios sees the drive just fine but when i boot in to windows the drive does not install itself. anything i need to try?

i found a list of information about this drive on the manufacturers website:

People really shouldn't do that. Maybe there's a reason forums have a pruning feature built in...
