Ok, I've had my pb 12in for a couple of days now and I've hit a few snags but the most serious of these is that I can't use my printer over the network.

The printer is an HP 1350 All in One, it has mac and pc support. It is hooked upto my pc and I can print fine from any pc's on the house network but not the mac.

The powerbook printer options can find the printer over the windows network but the only drivers for it are generic ones not the hp 1300 series one. I've tried printing to it when hooked up directly and thats fine its just over the network.

Any idea's? I tried hp support online but its windoze only :(

I had a similar issue when I had PC's in the mix at home. OSX uses the Common Unix Printer System (CUPS) - If you go to http://www.cups.org/ you should find an updated driver for your printer.

The printer is shared on the Windows PC?
Are you running SP2? Apparently the firewall can block mac access to printers.

The printer is shared and thats working fine my girlfriends pc uses it all the time.

Its running sp2 but I dont have the firewall turned on just zone alarm and that is setup to allow the mac in.

I will check out that cups link thanks :)

I had a similar problem with my HP when shared through a PC. I upgraded to a stand alone network printer now so I have no problems any more.
