Makes sense, I'd rather use a proper pipe bending insert like you say than sand though ...

Out of interest, would people prefer fittings like these to be made available?

Would take a little while to source, but I know where to start.

I'm interested as you proved they are a good solution. Just don't like all those joins.

    I wouldn't mind trying them?

Do they do a 1/2" version?

    Keep us posted.

Are these for converting between plug&cool and coventional?

This could be handy if you wanted, say, a smaller rad with the system without doing the hold thing with barbs.

BTe, I translated this from the site:
I guess this means that you really don't need all that many angle connectors.

[Gib] Spawny - personally I prefer the idea of a joint like this, where the inner diameter stays constant throughout the joint, as opposed to the steps created when using barbs, inducing flow resistance and turbulence (albeit to a small degree)... just my 2p ;) (or am I wrong?)
I need to find a cross-section photo to prove this but I'm sure the point where the tube butts up to in the connector is the same ID as the tubing.
    For 1/2", I think there's a 12 or 13mm available - have to check
[Edit] Let me get this shipment sorted, then we'll talk about getting some to you, email me, 'k?.

mashie - actually I was thinking CompAir or Festo but I'll check RS, thanks.
(BTW. You'll have mail tomorrow ;), cheers)

Risky - they're, erm, an alternative to plug&cool  because AC don't seem to cater to the larger bore tubing from what I can see.
Apparently, they found there wasn't enough inprovement in performance to warrant it AFAIK.
Cheers for the translation, I didn't really have time. :)
I think the amount of angles will be dependant on how short you want to keep the loop and what space constraints you have in your case.

Judging by the general consensus of opinion about this, I think I'm going to connect a load together when I get them, and compare flow rate and max head against straight tubing and also barb-jointed tubing (for my own peace of mind, if nothing else).
So, no complaints if the ones you get are wet, ok? :D

I was given this link on the ac forum. these guys do a huge range of kit and offer the p&c system with several other blocks, rads etc: http://www.multimediashop.com

    Might consider this rad:

A quick FYI - I got confirmation that the PUR hose bending radii is along the lines of being able to bend a 25cm length of tubing through a full 180° without straining the connectors.

    Pic here
