    I might just be imagining this, but I seem to remember something about Arctic Silver 5 needing some time before it works right...

    This is for the compound, not the adhesive... I could be dreaming or something, I have no idea...

    If it DOES need time, will it WORK before that time is up, just not at full effiency? Or should I wait however long it is...? Thanks.

    once artic silver has heated up and cooled down for some time (weeks) some people find that their temps drop a little as it has finally bonded properly (not bonded as in permanent)...

    Okay, so there would be no problem in applying it, and using it as soon as I put my case back together?

    No problem at all. Apply the AS5 and just watch your temps fall, then after a couple of weeks just watch them fall some more.
