My point was that those 3 ppl have made no attempt to justify their decision. not that more ppl should dislike this case.

I have what looks like the matrix with a window, but is the full tower.

    5.25 x 6
    3.5 x 2 (removable floppy)
    3.5 x 6 hidden
    3.5 x 3 (removable bay w/ 8cm fan)
    3.5 x 3 (removable bay w/ 8cm fan)

It's easy to find on Ebay

    http://www.mikhailtech.com/articles/cases/chieftecmatrix/

The full tower offers an upper fan that aims right at the CPU area. That would be through the upper set of hidden drives if you leave it empty. Leave it roomy for plenty of air flow. Else, other air needs to be provided.

I wonder why he would say that, could it be because he cant sell you one??
A friend of mine is using one. They make a very good case.

CoolerMaster does make great cases, better than Lian Li in my opinion. Although I don't like the look of any of the new Coolermaster cases, they make a great product. BUT they are much more expensive than the Chieftec's

I voted Yes. I own two Chieftec Dragon cases, one steel and one aluminium. Easy to work in and on!

Edit: I should have read the poll closer. I should also have voted NO. :duh: To erase confusion, I definitely recommend the Chieftec cases.

They are great, have an Ally Dragon, not that much heavier than a small midi tower tbh. The ONLY thing that lets it down is the front door is carp, and the strengthening beam in the case isnt the studriest... other than those minor points, it ROCKS!

Obviously SFOD-D LoneWolf knows what it looks like and thats not an issue to him.
So its down to build quality and practicalty, which are both excellent on the Cheiftec/Antec range..

I don't know (so i haven't voted)... i guess the cases are ok, but the design is boring! (matrix looks a bit nice though)... besides, everyone have them, so they are too common...

I have a Matrix tower and I love it! In that massive box I'm running a server Gigabyte board (dual P!!! @ 1 GHz), a DVD-RW, a CD-ROM, a floppy (for legacy's sake!!!) five HDD (yes five: one for the system and 4 in RAID 0, totalling 240GB of disk space), five 80mm fans, two 40mm fans and two PSUs.... There's a lot of space and you can route the cables in a very ordered manner. Moreover, the removable hdd cages allow for an easy and quick system maintenance...

I definitely love that case, go and buy it with no hesitation

Voted no, built a pc for a m8 with a dragon and I liked it alot, probably more user friendly than my pc60 (although not as sexy) and without motherboard tray (which is about as much use a chocolate fireguard now I am watercooling).

Exactly, I like cases with doors, my sisters kids like to press the buttons on my drives, and especially......pull out the main system HDD when the PC is running :duh: (it's on a special rack)

    Cheers,
    Mike

    P.S.
Aint Mike a quicker way to refer to me?

Even coolermaster have used chieftec chassis in one of their cases before, the cm710, i have one and i think its a brilliant case. All aluminium is always going to have its advantages but chieftec seem to make the best steel chassis on the market.
