have you ever seen a monitor that is a peice of glass/plastic/? that flips down over the eye and is supposed to reflect from a projector onto the glass so you effectively have a monitor right in front of you? sort of like the headphones of monitors. are these available for sale individually? they would be really cool to have.
They are for sale, but they cost an arm and a leg and might only be available through private corporate contact. I got a bunch of information on them a year ago, huge pamphlet, manual, vague schematics, and pricing.
How about googling for a pair of Olympus Eyetreks? I'm not sure if they still do them, or if they're PC compatible, but they are basically a TFT monitor in a pair of goggles. There seems to be plenty on eBay - Here you go: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=14968&item=8123326647&rd=1
those eyetreks are really cool, I might use them in a lazyPC project i've been thinking of (basically a La-Z-Boy computer with soda cooler and gas engine to move chair around). maybe with built in massage and heat
Hmm...they are pretty cool...I'd use em in a case mod I was doing if I ahd the money...I guess I could always add them on ^^ Regards,
