Modding are VFD's HD44780 compliant?

    i was just wondering if VFD's were HD44780 compliant, as im not really sure - -but i believe so because of what i've read about them being able to emulate LCD's

    It depends, like lcd's, on which one you buy.

    I should hope you are doing a VFD, after your cheek, young man (gel sheet...) :p ;)

    My VFD is wired as per Cheeses, article and if I can to do it, any one can.
