Hi guys, really need some of your very good advice on a shuttle SN78SH7. Bought this recently with a x2 245 and its great.

Ive fancied using it as y main rig and getting rid of the I5 750 rig as im just not getting the time to use it. Ive bought an Phenom 2 560 cpu, dropped it in and it booted up as 800mhz and cpu not recognized. Ok no big suprises here then. Just need to update the bios to the 'y' version job sorted.... so i thought.

So far it has driven me to almost madness trying to get the damn thing to update, i made the boot disk with the necssecary files etc along with awdflash and the bios made onto one dvd rom.

I managed to get into awdflash on the C:\ prompt , comes up with the name of the bios and i get the message to 'wait' and thats where it stays, i kept re trying, rebooting to try to get it but now i cant even get into awdflash itself no matter which prompt i use, by the way the dvd drive is prompt E:\ but it wouldnt work from that either just the C:\ when it did the first time round.

Any ideas before i commit the biggest of sins and take it to a shop. Really gratefull for any strait forward lamens terms on how i can do this, i am at the point of dispear!!

    Shuttle SN78SH7
    4g DDR2 800
    ATI 5770 (single slot)
    Phenom 2 560 3.3ghz
    Sammy DVDRW.

Just looked and its a Pheniox bios? Is Awdflash the correct programme to use with this?

You do know that wait means wait more than 3 seconds right? BIOS updates are something that are not to be rushed ..
